Stepping into the world of casting foundries, we’ve built a legacy of excellence right here in Illinois – at Cast Technologies. We’re not just another casting foundry, but a premier hub where advanced technology meets skilled craftsmanship.
Our ability to produce a range of casting sizes in both aluminum and brass has garnered recognition, making us the largest foundry of our kind in the state.
Diving into the world of casting in Illinois, we find a state-of-the-art foundry serving diverse industries such as marine, industrial, generator sets, agriculture, and construction equipment with specialization in aluminum and brass/bronze casting. We’re talking about a foundry that’s the biggest in the state, with capabilities that are beyond impressive. They’ve mastered the art of casting aluminum and brass, producing castings ranging from less than a pound to hundreds of pounds.
They’ve also got a knack for adapting quickly to changes in the production environment. We’ve seen it firsthand – a sudden order change doesn’t faze them. They respond in real-time, ensuring their output is never compromised.
But what sets them apart is their technique. They specialize in the sand casting method of aluminum casting, offering both green sand and no-bake sand casting. With an in-house design analysis and modeling using Solidworks, they can supply as cast or complete to print. And their capabilities extend to in-house machining and pressure testing too.
When it comes to advanced casting processes, we’ve got two top-notch systems in place: Green Sand Molding for Aluminum Casting and Air Set Molding.
Green Sand Molding is our specialization in the sand casting method of aluminum casting. We’ve got two 20 x 24 Sinto FBO automated molding machines and a 14′ x 19′ Hunter HMP10 automated molding machine. We also have Osborne 30′ x 32′ Cope & Drag manual molding machines for more delicate tasks. Our three remote-control crane ladle systems handle both aluminum and brass, offering flexibility in our casting processes.
On the other hand, Air Set Molding is another advanced process we employ. With eight total furnaces, including two melting/pouring furnaces, we’re equipped to handle a wide range of casting tasks. Our remote-control crane with a heated ladle system and Kloster mixers feeding our molding lines ensure consistent, high-quality results.
We’re proud to offer these advanced casting processes, providing the best possible service to our clients in Illinois and beyond. Our commitment lies in the continuous improvement and expansion of our capabilities to meet the evolving demands of the casting industry.
Building on our advanced casting processes, we also implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure every product meets our high standards. We’re not just concerned with creating castings; we want each piece to be an example of superior craftsmanship and quality.
To achieve this, we’ve integrated a comprehensive inspection process into our production line. We utilize cutting-edge technology like Solidworks for casting design analysis and modeling, ensuring precision and consistency. We also perform meticulous material testing, checking for defects or inconsistencies that could compromise the integrity of our castings.
Our quality control doesn’t stop at the foundry, we extend it to our machine shop. We ensure the smallest details are executed with precision, and any deviations are quickly corrected. Our teams are equipped with the latest tools and training to ensure they can maintain the highest standards of quality.
In addition, we’re responsive to changes in the production environment. If an issue arises, we react quickly to minimize impact on the final product. We’re committed to maintaining a high quality standard, because we believe our customers deserve nothing less.
Quality isn’t just a measure of our products, it’s a measure of our commitment to you.
